Five Words Guide Series · Rhythm
Not speed. Not tempo. Whether every stride lands the same.
The exercise I use almost every ride.
Most riders hunt for the distance. They count strides into the fence, adjust, fight, hope to land on the right spot to leave from.
A rider in genuinely good rhythm never has to see it. The rhythm has already solved it.
Rhythm is not a speed you pick. It is the regularity of the footfall. A horse can be fast and have perfect rhythm. A horse can be slow and have none.
What’s inside
